For curiosity's sake, how many of you blind folks can read and write in print. If you can, when did you learn? If you can't, would you ever want to learn? Why or why not?

I learned how to read and write print when I was in the third grade. A couple of friends of mine were very interested in learning braille and I taught them. In return, they taught me print and ever since then, I've loved practicing it! During class, we would write each other notes and while my friends decoded their braille notes, I would decode my print one. hehehehehe It was so much fun!!! I do very well with the alphabet but get numbers mixed up sometimes. I'm working really hard to perfect my number writing because I write out my own checks and it is very important that I write my figures clearly. I am very greatful for being able to print legibally and feel that it is a skill worth learning!!!
*sexy*

I too know how to read and write print. I learned from my cousin who was my age; that away we could talk about things we didn't want the younger ones hearing. LOL. I'm also currently learning to cursive. I feel that too is important. I already know a bit...Learned it in highschool, but my husband is teaching me more.

I can read and write large print. I learned it when I was very little. The print has to be about 18 to 22 point font and some people can read my writing and others can't cos its not that good. I also read and write braille.

Yes, I can read and write print. Well, I can't see the print, but if it is raised or indented into the paper, I can read it. My mom taught me to write when I was four while I was learning braille.

I can write print, and I can read it if it's engraved. My grandmother taught me to print when I was about six, and that's actually how I got through my first two years of elementary school. Then when I was 18, a friend taught me cursive. I do have some trouble with numbers, like someone else mentioned, but I know them well enough that I'm able to fill out checks.

I can't read or write print. I can write my name in cursive, so I can still sign things. Other than that... yeah.
